I was Consultant Project Manager for London Historic Buildings Trust on this exciting initiative in the Petticoat Lane area. Working collaboratively with volunteers, community organisations, designers, local authorities and building owners, the project developed an engaging new trail based on heritage themes identified, researched and championed by local people. 10 colourful plaques were installed on local buildings, accompanied by a website that delves deeper into the topics. The project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. I am currently working on a follow-up project for London Historic Buildings Trust and Toynbee Hall that will create resources for local schools based on the heritage trail.
